First of the Strawberries

I was so excited on my shopping trip to the local "food cat" to find the first of the fine Florida strawberries from Plant City, Florida. Nothing finer in Carolina on the last day of January!

Speaking of Florida and strawberries, here's a bit of "berry" (insert groan here) good trivia: Did you know that former Lynyrd Skynyrd (from Jacksonville, FL: the terminus of the mighty St. John's River) guitarist Ed King was a member of Strawberry Alarm Clock and wrote (but did not get credit for) their strange psychedelic hit, "Incense and Peppermints"?
