First, But Not Last... part deux

Happy Saturday to you:
I wanted to include more in my last post, but didn't want to be uber-wordy. So, keep in mind that the following SRM "getting to know me" list was to be part of the "First, But Not Last" entry as it expounds on that theme ...so without further ado...

  • My first rock concert: The Police, 1983 at the old Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, FL
  • My last rock concert: The Allman Brothers Band, 2008 at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, NC

  • My first rock album (that I purchased): Journey-Escape, 1982
  • My last rock album (that I purchased): Green Day-21st Century Breakdown , 2009 (yep, expect a review soon!)

  • My first rock concert shirt: Journey-Frontiers tour, 1983 (I didn't get to go to the concert because my family and I moved away, but my best pal at the time went to the concert and sent it to me--thanks, Julie!)
  • My last concert shirt purchased: Phil Lesh and Friends, 2008 (yep, it is TIE DYE)

  • My first boyfriend's favorite rock bands (circa 1983): Rush, Van Halen, and the Cars
  • My last boyfriend's (who I married) favorite rock bands (circa 1988): Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath

  • My first "proud rock mom" moment with my son (circa 2005): when hearing Guns N' Roses' "You Could Be Mine" on the car radio, my son (as reported by his proud rock dad) threw up his arms and yelled "rock & roll!"
  • My last "proud rock mom" moment with my son (circa 2007): when my husband and I took our son to his first rock concert (Def Leppard, Styx, & Foreigner) and he was rocking out to all the music

Until next time, keep it on "11"...
