A Triumphant Return

Something unexpected just happened; my husband (let's call him Mr. Suburban Rock Mom) just handed me the earbuds connected to his laptop and announced that I just had to listen to an amazing new song. So, being the obedient wife I am, I grabbed the earbuds with eagerness. Boy, am I ever glad that I did; the song just happens to be the new single for Soundgarden's upcoming "new retrospective" (their words--thanks Soundgarden dudes!) album--Telephantasm. The single, entitled Black Rain, was originally recorded for their second (& my personal fave) studio CD, Badmotorfinger, way back in 1991. Although it didn't make the cut then, this hard hitting single joins several of the Seattle band's best known singles including Rusty Cage, Spoonman, and Black Hole Sun.

Do yourself a favor tonight, search for the song online and turn it up to "11"...you'll be glad you did. If you're not satisfied, please don't tell me; I won't hear you amid Chris Cornell's scorchin' vocals...

Until next time...
